International Regular
England haven't bowled badly this morning. Distinctly unlucky not to have made a breakthrough yet.

He made his debut pretty late and Misbah the idiot didn't trust him and then he got injured which wasted at least 2 years of his career
He made his debut in 2013 and got injured in 2015.
The Pakistan Test middle order in that period

Azhar Ali
Younis Khan
Misbah ul Haq
Asad Shafiq

As someone who has always advocated playing FC opener Azhar as a Test opener, I'm quite aware of how everyone in Pakistan think tank is against that including dumb fans such as yourselves. Mickey Arthur pretty much took on the entire establishment to push Azhar to open

Either way, that middle order was as solid as it ever and the only time they played another batsman in that line up was when Azhar opened.

Excellent conversation on what length is right in these conditions but one thing missing is the movement and when it moves. Pakistani bowlers are able to get the ball to shape away late in the air when the batsman has already committed. If the ball shapes early, then even if it is pitched up, batsman spots it, adjusts and drives

Asad Shafiq was failing then and was inconsistent. He made his debut in 2013 but got dropped after playing few ODIs against WI and Zim in favor of CLH Amin and Dancer Akmal. He didn't return to team until the late 2014 against NZ in ODIs and he was brought into team to fill the quota of 5th bowler even though he had rarely bowled in FC let alone List As. He played a match winning innings and then he was retained. He should have made his debut in 2012 when he played in CLT20 for Sialkot Stallions but the clueless Misbah and selectors always selected him for the wrong format

Harris was the best player of Pak team from late 2014 to 2015 till he got injured.

Think you're confusing the formats.

Shafiq has been a consistent performer in Tests since 2011. Scored a brilliant hundred against Steyn and Philander in South Africa in 2013.
Another hundred against them in the return series in UAE in 2013.
