Yeah, it was an awful shot by Smith, as usual, to a spinner. But he was hit outside the line, and should not have been given out, so a poor decision by the umpire....

Why aren't they using UDRS?

Unfortunately the same can be said for a number of other nations, however, I would still expect players to put their countries ahead of making a quick few quid, that's not to say I don't understand their decision. Some of the blame has to lie with the players, there has been a number of players that have turned down the IPL for cricketing reasons, and long may that continue.

Without the qualities of Gayle, Sarwan and Chanderpaul, this side really looks incapable of posting testing totals. I'm all for having a long-term plan and exposing younger players to international cricket but it is essential they have the experienced players around them to help them come to terms with the demands at the top level.

Big six from Roach helping the WI to a reasonable total, yet should be some way from a winning one.

Only the three spinners bowling their full allocation today, and their combined figures read 30-4-102-6. Demonstrates the difficulty the hosts had in coping with Hafeez, Afridi and especially Ajmal, who bowled beautifully.

From what I saw they were pretty reasonable, think WI much preferred to face these two rather than the spin options that Pakistan had.

Think Pakistan will make it look a score well short of where the WI would have needed to be to make this a real interesting contest. If Kemar Roach strikes a few early blows, who knows, but I expect Pakistan to knock it off without too much discomfort.
