What's the point of having Hammad Azam in the squad if he isn't going to be used.
yes......some incomprehensible messages coming in support of Hammad @ cricinfo

"Sohail: "why not afridi trust on AllRounder before he did not properly use Razzaq and now Hammad Azam......then better for him give chance a batsman"

West Indies have no spinners of note, and their batsmen have no clue how to play spin.

Begs the question, why the hell do they produce so many slow, low, subcontinent-type tracks these days?

perhaps to capture BCCI's interest

Poor shot from Edwards there, commentators being generous to him suggesting he didn't pick Hafeez's doosra, just looked to me like a regulation off spinner which Edwards played back to and down the wrong line. Dwayne Bravo needs to build a very healthy partnership here with Samuels, who is now looking much more at home with some pace on the ball.

They are going to be doing Pakistani batsmen a favour if they keep producing these tracks.

I think you are being generous with Edwards there

I don't think Pakistan's pacemen would dislike a bouncy track either though. True the Windies batsmen would play it better and the Pakistani's would be more suspect.

On the other hand, Windie's pace attack looks pathetic right now. Sad to see Taylor bowling in the IPL at the same time as this match.

Taylor is bowling in the IPL? That's a big shame if true..

EDIT : Indeed he is.

He probably wouldn't play anyway, since the WICB have that policy of not picking anyone good.

I have a feeling that because there seems to be a serious lack of communication between the board and players, JT was overlooked for selection based upon the presumption that he was still injured (hurt himself during a FC match), when in fact he wasn't, so he just packed his bags and left when he got left out of the squad

Just a theory though.

Hopeless stuff anyway
