Never thought about him where the tests are concerned tbh but it's a good shout considering his form. As for his bowling, I guess you're right. I was probably thinking about the maiden he bowled rather than the whole performance .Jo Mo has to make his Test debut in the next Windies Test, right? I know his first class record isn't flash but he passes the eye Test. One thing I was surprised you said was that you thought he bowled well, I thought he was quite ordinary and had no place bowling in the first 10 overs of an ODI. Great win and agree with all other player comments you made.
Yeah, Bravo is definitely out. He's currently at the IPL and has to release a statement "apologising" before he gets back in. The whole situation is silly. If Lewis does well in the next two games I could see him getting a shot because we've been looking for someone to partner Kraigg and he looks the most competent out of all the choices right now. Powell, with his experience at Test level may also have a chance. The other contenders for the test side will be Vishual Singh, Sunil Ambris, Shimron Hetmyer and Kyle Hope. Got a feeling Leon Johnson may be the one who replaces Darren as the selectors will want to keep the team as settled as possible after we won the last test against Pakistan. And tbf to Leon he's a middle order batsman who has been forced to open in pretty much all of the tests he's played thus far.Surely the plan itself wasn't the problem, just the execution wasn't ideal in the first 30 overs.
I can't wait for this Test series, I'm curious to know what Windies XI we see. They last played a Test more than 5 months ago and the team they picked was:
1. Brathwaite 2. Johnson 3. Bravo 4. Samuels 5. Blackwood 6. Chase 7. Dowrich 8. Holder 9. Bishoo 10. Joseph 11. Gabriel.
Assuming Bravo is still in the bad books I would go 1. Brathwaite 2. Lewis 3. Powell 4. Blackwood 5. Mohammed 6. Chase
One more thing Burner. Pakistan had 140 dots in their innings themselves compared to our 143 dots. So maybe it was just good bowling that brought about these stats?Bud, you had all of your top 4 playing at a strike rate of 70 chasing 309, all getting out before said 'exploding'. In the end it took a freak innings from your number 5 to win it. If you call that a plan, good luck winning more games with the same method.
They had to score 128 runs in the last 13 overs ffs.
That's because it's Pakistan. They have Shehzad and Hafeez. That's how they play. One more thing Burner. Pakistan had 140 dots in their innings themselves compared to our 143 dots. So maybe it was just good bowling that brought about these stats?
So you're saying they had a "plan" and "method" despite getting 140 dots? That's because it's Pakistan. They have Shehzad and Hafeez. That's how they play.
No. It is common knowledge that Pakistan are a terrible ODI side. Hafeez and Shehzad are textbook on how not to play ODIs.So you're saying they had a "plan" and "method" despite getting 140 dots?
Its two average sides at best really, I genuinely can't see Pakistan making much of an impression in the champions trophy with this side.Man Windies are terrible.
Hafeez, Azhar and Sharjeel in limited overs cricket.Has any other Pakistani batsmen tonned up since Azam made his first?
Nah man, just checked. Other than Azhar getting a 101 against the Windies there hasn't been a single hundred from any of them.Hafeez, Azhar and Sharjeel in limited overs cricket.
Tests, I think Younis and Azhar.
