Nice bowling from Collymore. He impressed me in a few ODIs, good to see him keeping it real in the test arena. :)

salman butt and imran nazir shld open the batting... give them an extended run. Yasir Hameed seems to have lost it, and needs to work back into it in the domestic arena. Salman Butt seems to struggle in the test matches, but is awesome in the one dayers.

I think if Butt doesn't improve his test batting, he may be labelled a one day player and yasir and nazir the permanent test openers. Tafeeq may have something to say about that.. I don't really rate imran farhat though

Talent?

Unless you mean writing the Prod 101 text-book on how to fish outside the off-stump and get out successfully.

Frankly, I'd stick with Yasir. He's got talent.

It's all about consistency.
yeh i said yasir for the future, but he seems very out of sorts atm..needs to go back and get confidence

Good decision by Rana who is walking off the ground

Pakistan down to their last pair now, assuming Rana doesn't return. Six for Collymore, he's taken seven on this ground previously, could well do it again.

99.2 Powell to Kamran Akmal, OUT: Unlucky Kamran! pitched on middle
stump, ball kept low, hit the pads, and unable to complete his 50

Looks like he has. He's batting with Kaneria though, so i'm not sure it will achieve much.
every single run counts...i admire the guy greatly for his fighting spirit... shoaib shld take a leaf or two out of this guy's book.

a champion in his own right

Yes, I agree, I just meant that it would probably have had more effect if Kamran was still in. Getting to 400 would make WI task seem much more difficult though.

100.3 Collymore to Danish Kaneria, OUT: thats the end of Pakistan's first
innings, what a day for Collymore, full ball on stumps and Kaneria
is clean bowled

collymore got his 7...and every run counts...except it didn't add anything :(

ah well, at least it wasn't rana's fault! :p

Pakistan needs 450+ if they want to win this... knowing them... they are equally capable of scoring 500 as well as collapsing to 350.
