Lanka right on top atm, Pak are 40 runs behind and have just 4 wkts in hand:)

batting last on this wkt would be a nightmare, Pak need to take a minimum of 100 runs lead in first innings to escape a defeat, but it looks like Pak will concede a lead.

Maharoof was brilliant today!

Afridi flops once again, whenever Pak is in trouble, Afridi never delivers.

Lanka in a very good position, hopefully they will get a small first innings lead too:)

What a fight back by Lanka, Pak still short by 20 runs and have just 2 wkts in hand!!

Inzi must be dejected, his batsmen had the best of batting condition yet they put up a pathetic display.Full credit to Lanka bowlers for bowling beautifully.

Inzi is getting desperate, looks like he thinks that only Asif can get a wkts and is not giving the ball to other seamers.Asif is getting tired, as Lanka are off to a flyer.


With 70 runs and 9 wkts in hand, SL are looking the side that will emerge as victorious without much hiccups.

SL are now 112 runs ahead and have lost just one wkt.Inzamam have so far given ball to just 3 bowlers in Asif,Gul and Danish.

Looks like Inzi doesn't have any faith in Razzak and Afridi.I fail to understand as to why Afridi is playing the match when he's not required to bowl much and is not likely to score much on such a pitch.Maybe playing Sami instead of Shahid would have been a better idea

Brilliant stuff from Tharanga. Brilliant.

He definitely has it in him to be a top class batsman in both forms of the game. I really wish he got more chances in Australia when SL were down here for the VB Series.

Is this the same game as yesterday when Pakistan where like 2-100 or something. Nice to see our batsmen know which end to use.

All jokes a side great innings by Tharanga, hopefully its a sign of things to come.

Great turn around from a Sri Lankan fan's point of view .

But honestly Bob Woolmer and Inzi must be extremely frustrated by this turn around in a game that was absolutely in Pakistan's grasp 24 hours ago and now just as easily has gone beyond them.

One feels there is possibly another important climax (or turn around of fortunes) in this game still to come !! :mellow:

Congrats to Tharanga who seems to have more or less confirmed himself as the opener for SL in both forms of the game.

Pakistan must really hope for early wickets tomorrow (today my time :) ) and a long innings from the likes of Inzi, Akmal , etc. to force a victory against the spin of Murali, Bandara and co.

Boy I sure hope so! But alas, things don't look so good right now for Pak in this match. :(
