Well then, any other suggestions on the composition of the Pakistan team, because I can't see how it can be any different to the one earlier posted. Perhaps Butt could play but owing to his awful form in both ODI's and tests, one would have to prefer Farhat.

The other reason i feel Farhat should be prefered over Butt is becuase Farhat can handle the swing much better than him.......so he will be more suited for the england tour aswell.

Yousuf might miss the match coz of hamstring injury, Faisal iqbal will take his place .

Would be intereresting to see how Farhat fares against a depleted Lankan bowling attack, Malik has been a tried and tested failure, yet is being persistent as an opener, i guess Pak have no options.

Can't see how Pak can win the match, the bowling lineup appears to be extremely weak.

O yes. Really though, just when I want to see a proper day of test cricket it starts raining. And then when I think there is the backup plan of Srl-Pak, it rains there as well.

Most of the time it doesn't rain in Colombo , but whenever Cricket comes on it starts pouring.

Most of the time Colombo is hot and humid , so most Colombo residents (of which I was one for a very long time , long time ago) actually love the rain, because it cools Colombo down.

But most of the grounds get water logged with heavy rains and it doesn't drain off quickly for some reason or other , so generally it takes quite a while before play can resume.

From the Cricinfo bulletin it seems unlikely that there will be any play on Day 1 (today).

You got to understand that the only time SL is depleted is when they are without Murali.

In Murali, SL are a one man army, that can destroy most team on their home ground.Inzamam is well aware of that , his recent statement are proof of that.

Interestingly, Pakistan have been playing sides that were mostly depleted.They played England that were without their 3-4 frontline players, and now they are taking on SL that are without 3-4 senior players.

I guess the only way for Pak to beat those sides are when those sides happen to be depleted, but i think Pak luck will ran away while playing overseas even when they play depleted sides!

You seem to be conveniently forgetting that Pakistan are without Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul. And wait... how was the Indian side that lost to Pakistan in the test series in any way depleted?
