Yep, I'd respect him infinitely more if he did his time and came back stronger.. It's not his fault his sentence was lenient, but it was his fault he took the drugs in the first place..Yeah I love Asif as well. It's disappointing that his image has been tarnished in such a way. Hopefully the decision is reversed and he serves a ban and then returns clean.
Fair point. Not a "wide" but too wide to play at
Kallis' shot was possibly the most lame dismissal I've seen him succumb to in test cricket - short, wide, medium paced nothing ball
That's why Jackman declared that he wouldnt want to see that replay
The commentators on cricinfo and other online sites have probably been told not to mention it, otherwise they'd get a deluge of complaints from rabid Pakistan fans and their persecution complex (not seen any such fans posting in this thread over the last few pages I've seen thankfully).Yep, I'd respect him infinitely more if he did his time and came back stronger.. It's not his fault his sentence was lenient, but it was his fault he took the drugs in the first place..
Worryingly, we seem to be the only people left on earth who care about Asif and his possible integrity (or otherwise).. Nobody is talking about it on the commentary, nobody on Cricinfo, nothing from the crowd, nothing in the papers.. I guess nobody cares?
Yup, saved another bad decisionIf it means getting it right, I have no problems with it.
Kaneria bowls a couple of threatening deliveries every over, but then also serves up some balls that beg for cover drives. So is anyone apart from Asif step up and look like taking a wicket?
Are you in support or against him?Bloody bowl Asif!
Can only be referred for bump-balls but if it's obvious that batsman didn't hit it then the umpire can say not out anyway. This is according to Cricinfo.... which leads to the question: "Does that mean all caught-out decisions can be referred to the third umpire?".
That would be ridiculous.
