*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand

This is a very interesting side. A bowler light than expected.

I guess comparisons can be made between Abbas' role in this match and the troll that was Ravindra the bowling all-rounder, but Abbas is still slated to bat ahead of Hay. It will be really interesting to see how his mediums, which were very good this season, fare at a higher level.

Did we pick a team to make this series interesting

But at the same time, Pakistan is secretly a SENA team now (in odis at least) and we probably have underestimated them at our peril

Abbas looked class. Man we have some really good young players coming though, it's good to see. Excited to see Mairu this series as well.

Definitely think Kelly and Nicholls looked completely out of their depth, although the conditions and bowling were a lot harder up front. Pakistan completely fumbled that 5th 10 over block.

Really impressive chase from Pakistan. Babar anchoring at the right tempo and Salman will win the game if NZ don't dismiss him shortly.

NZ bowling-light and pretty hittable. Smith especially, which doesn't surprise me tbh. Duffy hit around in opening spell though I didn't catch that. Thought Abbas was pretty good for a part timer, though obv shouldn't usually bowl ten overs.

I had a hard time believing earlier in the thread that Duffy was bowling 140s and averaging a higher speed than O'Rourke and Sears. Might be just those made-up speed gun speeds showing him hitting 140 at times again today, but the ball is undoubtedly coming out with extra zip at the moment. Getting bounce and in these conditions with the shape away, he looks tough to face.

Also agree with the earlier comments that his experience does show, compared to younger bowlers like Smith, O'Rourke, Sears. That's especially useful if our regular attack leader in Henry is not playing.
