Duffy and who else?
Lost 4-1 this year.Series is still live and we never would've come close with their approach. Lost 4-1 last year so this is already an improvement considering these blokes are completely raw.
4-1 while testing n00bs is better than 4-1 with proven frauds. The only series we won in 2024 was against Ireland. Losing less badly when you don't give your team a chance of winning at all isn't any better.Lost 4-1 this year.
Mir Hamza. Wouldn't set the world on fire but he'd be a decent short term option. The highest wicket taker in National T20 this year was a left arm pacer as well. Shahab Khan. Might be too early for him though and the quality of that competition is middling to put it charitably. Are there no other left arm seamers who can come in for white ball games for Pak?
White ball?Mir Hamza
He can do a Bhuvi-lite job imo. He's done well in white ball whenever I've seen him. He'd get rekt on Auckland type pitches but he'd be more threatening with the new ball than current Shaheen.White ball?
Even in T20s? I get the feeling he can be got after very easily and you dont want to build a side with players who can only bowl in one phase of the game.He can do a Bhuvi-lite job imo. You may be right but it's worth trying anyway. Jahandad Khan definitely isn't the answer and he's a no rounder at this stage. If the play Rauf and Abbas Afridi then they're forced to bowl the other seamer out earlier anyway.Even in T20s? I do think a large problem in general is the revolving door for Pakistani bowlers and to an extent the middle order4-1 while testing n00bs is better than 4-1 with proven frauds. I think Shaheen's impotence is a bigger problem than previously anticipated. He's way too predictable now and not even swinging the new ball appreciably.
Plus the opening batting, the tail, and the fielding...I do think a large problem in general is the revolving door for Pakistani bowlers and to an extent the middle order
