Why Is Allen playing sensible
Was just thinking that , cricket doesn't make sense sometimeslol why would you have a drinks break with 2 runs required![]()
Had the highest strike rate in the match? Why Is Allen playing sensible
Recorded both the women's and the men's games, since the women's game started so early. Up to watching the men's game now, but I'm too far behind to say anything worthwhile.Anyone actually watching this
Not used to him not trying to slog at least 1 ball he actually rotated the strikeHad the highest strike rate in the match?
Unfortunately with the money in T20 comps now that's probably going to be hard to avoid. The Champions Trophy squad had Kane, Conway and Ferguson. I guess they could try the All Blacks approach regarding offshore players. It's less clear cut here as Seifert and Allen played in the Ford Trophy. At the other extreme you have the Tall Blacks who have in the past named Steven Adams in their squads and he then says he's unavailable.Hard to get in behind a game that features two NZ openers who turned down national contrasts or showed little interest in them
I don't mind players missing T20Is for leagues, I guess because it's the format I care least for. Really T20Is should just be played in the 6 months leading up to a WC (which should be every 4 years) so players get used to the teams environment of that format. If you skip ODIs for T20Is I think your selection should be much harder to achieve and if you skip tests for a league you should be persona non grata imo.Unfortunately with the money in T20 comps now that's probably going to be hard to avoid. In fairness to them, Seifert was never getting a central contract (& is currently on a casual domestic contract), & also they & Neesham have committed to possibly being called out of their T20 leagues for next January's T20WC warmup tour in India, which was a rather lowkey detail in the announcement that's actually kind of a big deal, as standard policy is that being out of the country renders you unavailable.Hard to get in behind a game that features two NZ openers who turned down national contrasts or showed little interest in them
I knew it was on but I'm more interested in the ODI series that follows. Hoping Pakistan can up their game because I really enjoyed the tri-series matches + 1 CT game we played against the. Obviously a better team than those results suggest.Yeah, it's not a knock on Seifert as a person, he seems like he's matured.
Can anyone remember a game of international cricket that less people gave a **** about? As I say, I genuinely did not know it was on. I read the Herald and nothing in there, no hype over it, no talking points, zero cut-through. It's over in quick time, nothing particularly happens in it, on we roll to the next.
A great crowd there though and the packed houses are set to continue. People in NZ just enjoy going to a BC's match these days it seems, no matter the format and no matter the make up of the side.Yeah, it's not a knock on Seifert as a person, he seems like he's matured.

If he wants to bat sensibly, and play formats that last longer than an afternoon nap, then he could very well play his way back into the SteveNZ XI, which I have no doubt he deeply desires. To troll @SteveNZ
