I can only imagine that Patel will be the 5th bowler as you say. I guess it could work, but it's a huge risk.

Reports here have Southee as more likely to play, apparently the pitch is greener than usual and is expected to offer something to the seam bowlers. Have to say I prefer that scenario to the usual one where Patel only plays because it's a road, but it doesn't exactly bode well for our batsmen. Don't particularly like the idea of shortening our batting lineup...as you say, that's asking for 67 all out.

I am glad that Vettori is batting at number 6. He always underrates himself as a batsman. He averages 30 at number 8. To put that in perspective, the Pakistani opener, Salman Butt, averages only 28
