You mean mucking around in the nets or something?
Nah, international cricket.

lol nah, indoor. Obviously a lame way of judging his ability. Really I just think he's one of those tailenders who flatters to deceive because he sort of looks like he can bat.

Our clubs opening bowler has played against a few times and said he looked pretty reasonable (made 50 odd before he bowled him).

Vettori is the first New Zealand cricketer since Andrew Jones in 1991 to score three hundreds in a calendar year (and as far as I can tell, only the second ever).

Taylor would of been on that list if he stopped getting out in the 90's

w00t!!

See, thats what can happen when you have a solid platform. Who ****en cares how slow someone bats. Your middle order can cash in on that platform later on.

R/R of 3.26, pfft, all you people complaining about McIntosh's scoring rate......

Looks like Vettori could bat at 6 after all.
Been impressed with Vettori's recent batting displays.

Should have promoted himself earlier, methinks.

He's definitely got the potential to make a few more hundreds up the order now.

New Zealand were five down for 140, conceivably they could have got rolled over for less than 200. The batting with no intent approach didn't give Vettori or McCullum a platform, they had to counter attack.

Nah, approach worked well for NZ, because the bowlers were tiring when Vettori & McCullum were batting

Kaneria had the ball on a piece of string and Gul was getting it to reverse. New Zealand got away by taking a few risks, not because of the platform set by batting at 1.92 runs an over. All that caused was for McCullum and Vettori to look like walking wickets when they both came in.

I think Mcintosh could bat about 10% faster if he got stronger off his pads. But I don't know if mcintosh can bat too much faster. He got a shorter ball outside of his off stump and he decided to attack it and edged it through slips instead. And then he got a rank bad ball from Kaneria on his leg stump and got out to it - trying to put it away. I don't think he has the skills to have a SR of 50.

Guptil,Watling, and Flynn also didn't set the world on fire with their batting.
I excuse Watling because he was opening and tbf Guptil and Flynn didn't get started.

Anyone else reckon this game is screaming out for a fourth day collapse? Not to be negative but...
By NZ do you mean? Definitely a possibility. That is why Vettori needs to put on as many as he can in this inning and not declare for anything less than 550.

I hate to say this but honestly this is some pretty poor umpiring that hit the back leg......was dead plumb....very poor decision by the ump.........Dan's being protected by special interest here........
