*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand 2020/21

Wags' Wag not bad
As an older millennial man-child there’s something very anachronistic about seeing the BC WAGs...like, they all look like a younger (than me) group of cool kids, but they have their own kids and own their own nice homes...doesn’t compute in NZ 2020

Quite stoked about Fawad too, was really hoping he wouldn’t waste his second chance at test cricket and while I didn’t wish for anything other than an NZ win would’ve been quite the feel good story if they managed to draw it. Noted Fawad Alam fan Osman Samiuddin must have really enjoyed it.

Great effort Pakistan, had they managed to draw this would’ve been a great story, and not undeserved.

Congrats UnZud on ending 2020 the number one side! Been a pleasure to follow this team, can remember how bleak things were at the start of the decade. 2-zip at Hagley and a ticket to, Lords please.
Pretty sure it’ll be India v Australia if India manage a draw in either of the last 2 tests (barring England springing a surprise on their tour there next year).

Very impressed with Rizwan. Up with BJW and QDK imo
Pleased for Pakistan that it looks like they've instilled some leadership and backbone in their team. It was very interesting to see how much they appreciated Wagner's effort and with Misbah and Younis in the coaching panel you'd imagine they'd want to solidify that type of attitude.

Hopefully they've taken something from this.

I was perving through PakPassion yesterday and I read something like "Wagner bowls with 2 broken toes, Mohammad Amir retires when Waqar says something a little bit critical of him". Do think if they can eliminate some of their prima-donna stuff and really push for some backbone, they'll always have the talent to be able to produce a good team.

haha yes I think there's a few of us in this same age bracket...late 20s early 30s.

I do think there's something about being a sportsman that does encourage wanting a bit of stability. Having to travel around the world fairly regularly seems like it would be a player's paradise but it is not actually the easiest thing to do...you either want to be in a super committed relationship or not at all.

What if Rabada comes back from injury and South Africa springs a surprise vs Australia. Could it be India-NZ?

if the India Aus series were to end 2-1 to Australia, Aus would qualify for the final if they win in SA with any scoreline. A draw would see an NZ v India final.

A 2-2 scoreline would mean that Australia would miss out if they drew OR if they win with a 1-0 scoreline, but would advance with a 2-1 scoreline.

2-1 to India means Australia would need at least a 2-0 scoreline in SA.
3-1 to India would mean Australia could only advance with a 3-0 scoreline.
