Younis Khan has yet another failure outside Asia. He now averages 40.xxx in Aus/SA/NZ/Eng/WI. A real pity he missed those tours to Aus/NZ a few years back or his average would be in ththe 30s. Here's hoping that he doesn't get a dead pitch in the second test to cash in on.

Yea but last few series held in NZ weren't telecasted and its a shame that now we have 2/3 different broadcasters and none are ready to air cricket being played by two test playing nations.

The way you were updating it felt like they were telecasting the game on some channel. Plz share the link where you are watching.
Google a certain fielding position on the offside.. I don't think those links are allowed on here.

2009 pakistan probably would have folded hours ago. the best impact of misbah's era imo is young blokes who can occupy the crease entering the team.

That's all well and good but you can't plod around at 1.5 runs per over in reasonably sunny conditions on a pitch with no real demons vs a tiring attack.

Maybe it's tiring because he played 20 overs on his own.

You need to watch some gavaskar innings. Too much t20 clouding your mind

Who wants to bet that Boult/Southee wrongly assume they can do what Wagner does and go away from what would work for them on this wicket - constant line and length.

I am not suggesting that Pak score at 6 RPO but in this day and age anything less than 2.5 is unacceptable.
They have time on their hands. I don't see why it is unacceptable to play like this when they are pretty much in the game as of now.

Yup... Southee bowling around the wicket attempting to drop it short. This is just stupid stuff, he's not bowling to his strengths and he can't sustain the sort of line that makes it threatening.

John McClane: "Not sure if this has ever occurred to anyone or has been mentioned on Cricinfo before - doesn't Wagner look very much like young Bruce Willis, especially his expressions ala Bruce in Die Hard 1 :-)"
LOL I was trying so hard to think who Wagner reminds me of.
I think he shares a likeness with the Bond villain in From Russia with Love.

Yes but playing 20 overs doesn't mean dead batting everything

Ever heard the word 'context'. Just because it's modern day that we are seeing 4 odd RR per innings does not mean it applies here too. Pakistan was literally down and out yesterday. What do you expect that they take risk more and throw it away as they are coming back into the game? Game situation dictates now Pakistan to bat sensibly and not to follow the guidelines of modern day test matches.

If i ever need a heart transplant I'm going to apply for WAGners heart. I will probably turn red permanently with all the blood overflow.
