Saw the back end of it. Next Bradman?

Maybe we should start a thread about him. Williamson and Milne got a thread before they debuted. What's his name?
Didn't catch his name. Thought it was going to one of those lovey dovey stories on tv one's "Closeup" but he is actually pretty good.

Agree with the commentator that Guptill needs to utilise his wrists to work the ball into the gaps more.

Shot McCullum!

Still got a score though i guess. 400+ must be the aim for us. Anything under that and we would have failed tbh.

Wahab 'The Jacket' Riaz does something completely and utterly ridiculous, ensuring Ross Taylor is not out.

Not saying a word. :p

Agh, Im a Guptill fanboy but I have the feeling this isn't going to end well, no intent whatsoever, he doesn't have the game to play an anchor type innings atm if you get what I mean. If he isn't hitting fours, he's blocking, eventually he's going to get a good nut.

Agree - he's played these sorts of ridiculously slow innings once or twice before, but has still gotten himself out around 30. It seems he can bat 20 balls or 90 balls, but will still get out for that magic number.

Hopefully we have reverse upside down back-to-front jinxed him into getting a hundred now.

I think Guptill's the sort of player John Wright could really help with some one-on-one coaching. It's probably too soon to see the results of that just yet, but I reckon he'll get over this getting-out-for-30 problem in time.

Well at the moment he looks like he's been having one-on-one sessions at the Blair Pocock School of blocking out maidens.
