*Official* - Pakistan in New Zealand 2010/2011

Looking like the draw is the most expected result now. Pakistan don't seem interested at all in winning this and with 40 odd overs remaining, I can't see us taking 7 wickets. Hope I'm proven wrong though.

Clever stuff from these two IMO. They're intentionally playing and missing just often enough for Vettori to keep the trundlers on.

I remember when Franklin's SR was ridiculously low in tests, like in the low 40s. I also remember him bowling 135kph+ and swinging it late.

Yep, was a good bowler before he got injured. It's a shame he'll probably be remembered for this sort of bowling.

Misbah really needs to at least rotate the strike. Pak can do this with ease the way Younis is batting.

I think he's more likely to go crazy and hit a flurry of boundaries. Neither are likely but at least he's able to do the latter; his ability to rotate the strike disappeared completely about 18 months ago (not that it was ever a really strong point of his game).

Anyone think Pakistan might try for the win if they need say 90 off the last 25 overs with 7 wickets remaining?

Yeah, he is a block, block, block, slog sweep merchant. Azhar Ali is following in Misbah's footsteps by tapping back half volleys as well. Younis and Adnan Akmal are the only guys with a 50+ SR in the Pak top order.

:) Pak fancy this...

Looks like that dropped catch has scared off Pakistan, and they're happy to go into their shells again.

Will be interesting to see how Vettori plays it if Pakistan come to life again.
