why..do you not know where to find it.:D

the thing is there is no way you can say the Indian batsmen were crushed when 6 Indian batsmen averaged over 40
No actually i was concerned that you were having difficulty in finding it.:D

As for your saying Aus fans would have been dissapointed with a 1-1 result then I am sure the Bangladeshi fans are also dissapointed when their team looses all i was trying to say that would have been a likely result if these 2 teams played each other.

so you have changed it from the likely result to a likely result

The most expected result by probably most people would have been an Australian win I would have thought

That was also the most expected result for the last Ashes.

yes it was..but that wasnt some made up series...it did actually happen..its no good basing a teams worth on being second in the world on some fabricated series that you think would have been 1-1

Excuse me. Where did i say that I am calling Pakistan 2nd because they would have drawn a series with Aus?. I was just pointing out Pakistan's form last home season and then threw just a random comment that a Pak-Aus would have been highly competitive.

Nowhere have i labelled Pakistan #2, I was just presenting Pakistans case that since their 2 nearest rivals failed to win a test between them and lost 3 out of 6 in Pak that should definatley keep Pakistan in the picture for the number 2 spot.

When was the last time Pakistan beat australia in a series (or even a test) to have such optimism about Pakistan's chances ?

Pakistan vs. Australia in tests is the same problem Pakistan suffered against South Africa in the ODI's during the late 90's - it's more psychological then anything else.

When was the last time a full strength Pakistan faced Aus in a test series.

OK Xuhaib..

Would you agree with this :

1. Australia
2. England
3. India
4. Pakistan
5. Sri lanka
6. South Africa
7. New Zealand
8. West Indies

If not where would you have Pakistan on this list

The official rankings would have India 4th and Pakistan 3rd

Except you yourself have said that they weren't in form 9 months ago...

Not really, specially during the 98/99 and 99/00 series. I'll grant you 04/05.

Edit: Unless you include mental strength as part of the inherent cricketing talent, in which case the gulf in talent was pretty obvious. I don't.

Post ashes,

Pakistan beat India in Pakistan.
Pakistan beat England in Pakistan.
Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan lost to England in England.

Sri Lanka beat South Africa in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka drew with England in England.
Sri Lanka lost to Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

India lost to Pakistan in Pakistan.
India drew with England in India.
India won against West Indies in West Indies.

England lost to Pakistan in Pakistan.
England drew with India in India.
England drew with Sri Lanka in England.
England beat Pakistan in England.

Based on post ashes performance alone,

Australia
Pakistan
India
Sri Lanka
England
South Africa
New Zealand
West Indies
Rest

However, if we expand our time period to include the 2004/2005 and 2005 seasons then England are, marginally, the second best team in the world.

What, the ones that only won the series against England because England had one shocking day in the 1st Test?
This is such a lame line of reasoning that I won't even start. Or are you just trolling for trolling's sake?

How can India or Sri Lanka possibly be rated above England on those results?
