I watched the C&G Trophy final and his action didn't look suspicious at all.Samuel_Vimes said:In the current climate, recalling a bowler with a...ahem...slightly dubious action might not be terribly clever...
Really cant understand what he has done wrong. Untill he needed surgery at the back end of last year he has been plaing in ODI's and was understudy all the way through the ashes. Now he has fallen so down the pecking order it is beyond belief. He has been fit for a while now and has been bowling very well.marc71178 said:Or even better - Tremlett.

Scaly piscine said:Onions is a typical England ODI selection, picking a guy who is pencilled in as a future Test bowler but is currently somewhat crap at limited overs cricket. Onions hardly plays for Durham in limited overs cricket whereas he has played in every County Championship game this season - I haven't seen him myself but I expect he's another guy with some pace who happens to be a bit wayward.

Yep. Durham's OD bowling attack is Gareth Breese, Ottis Gibson, Dale Benkenstein, Mick Lewis and Neil Killeen. Literally brimming with England-qualified blokes.Steulen said:Is this true?
If so, England care even less about ODI's than I thought.
I think it is more about Englands current attitude to fast bowling, which seems be grab any youngster that has played a handfull of county games and who seems to have some pace.Steulen said:Is this true?

He took his first List 'A' wicket of the season yesterday...Steulen said:Is this true?

Typical of your hatred towards Pakistan to launch into a personal attack on Inzi. Wish someone could muzzle your big fat mouth. By the way, I remember Hair making comments after the fact too. One of them being something like "they'll all pay after the truth comes out". I don't remember you going all hysterical after him. Get off your high horse.Scaly piscine said:Nice to finally see the ICC put their foot down on the stuff coming from the PCB and Inzi before the case. Inzi saying Hair is in 'big trouble' is completely unhelpful and unprofessional, but typical of Inzi's complete absence of any mental faculties associated with captaincy - he should consider himself very lucky he doesn't face another charge. You'd think if Inzi couldn't keep his mouth shut for five minutes that he could at least shovel some food in instead.
More importantly, good news about Onions, eh Scaly?Scaly piscine said:Nice to finally see the ICC put their foot down on the stuff coming from the PCB and Inzi before the case. You're seriously telling me Inzi has the mental faculties associated with captaincy? He is hot headed, he is fairly stupid, he is ignorant of the rules and seems to allow an assortment of clowns to make a decision of the magnitude of whether to have a dressing room sit in. Aside from the mental faculties he doesn't exactly set a great example in training sessions and doesn't appear to be a very good communicator, the only things he has going for him are that he has a lot of experience and is well respected because of his batting - anyone who thinks he has the makings of a good captain is deluded. As for that comment you accuse Hair of making that could simply be directed to the media and would need to be viewed as a direct quote and in the relevant context to be worth making anything out of.Fusion said:Typical of your hatred towards Pakistan to launch into a personal attack on Inzi. Wait..you were being serious?
You were commenting about Speed chastising Inzi for talking to the press about Hair. That was the issue. Yet you then went into a personal tirade against Inzi. The discussion was not about whether he's a good captain, or if he is a fit player. Yet you chose to make digs about those irrelavent points in your rant. That shows your childish mentality. As for the Hair quote, what does it matter if it was directed towards the PCB or media? He was using the press to make his points, just like Inzi and the PCB. Yet you chose to ignore Hair's actions, while ripping into Inzi's. I'm sure that's not hypocrisy on your part.Scaly piscine said:You're seriously telling me Inzi has the mental faculties associated with captaincy?
