Too many overs from Dawson, these two weren't going to go for the big shots, they've just milked 15 soft runs off him at no real risk.

England back to needing a minor miracle.

Pakistan need to change the way they approach ODI cricket like how England did over the last couple of years and transformed themselves into a team that plays ODI cricket reminiscent of the modern era.

Rayner is also an allrounder, hasn't helped him.

Hacks just cbf to think beyond who's played in an England shirt recently
He's not really he's someone who has the odd good innings. This season he's averaged 8.75 and drifted down the Middlesex batting order!!

Can't believe this great England side actually lost a game. Supporters must feel like the St George fan base did in 1966.

TBF only one person has really gone overboard about England, our bowling is still hugely suspect. Yet our batting is great to watch after years of turgid crap. Limited overs stuff should be fun to watch. something we failed in for many years.

And that's just Michael Vaughan
Oh Micheal Vaughan has there ever been a more depressing example of someone who has turned pundit and then ruined themselves in your opinion of him. Oh I know Warne and Botham are worse, but let's face it you always knew as people they sucked. With Vaughan I had no idea, loved him to death after 2005 and thought he was a great thinker of the game.

The big defence of him is "he's only trolling lol", yeah because being an internet troll isn't the lowest form of life.....

Given that Vaughan is a Lancastrian who seems to want to be a Yorkie he clearly has severe psychological issues

I actually like Vaughan as a pundit. Speaks a lot of sense when on TMS. And he is right -this the greatest ODI side England has produced. Who cares about the bowling when people consider you are under-par with 300 on the board. Have chased some significant scores over the past few months with relative ease - that 350 NZ game and the 240-odd T20 against SA come to mind.

That doesn't mean they're the best ODI side in the world though. Australia still hold that title - can match England in batting but have Starc as well.
