This made me laugh from cricinfo "Yasir Shah to Ali, FOUR, flighted, Moeen skips out to meet the ball and offers to take it out for a nice fish supper, chipped back down the ground for four".

Yeah JB is one of the best middle order bats in the world today. I do cringe when he explains how to keep wicket to Ian Ward or someone before play starts though as you just know he's gonna put down a couple of chances, its a shame as you can see he's really putting in a lot of work.
I don't think he's that consistent really. He'll have two good games in a row before clanging 4 catches and stumping. Long way to go but you see glimpses of a good keeper in there.

Yeah true but I just always feel nervous, he's still young with plenty of time to improve though.

The Bairstow/Ali partnership becoming one for the ages, in terms of recurring things. Love it.

With the exception of the drop I don't think we have - this is what a successful counter looks like
The drop and the no-ball dismissal, tbf. But yes, they've been excellent since those let-offs.
Bairstow's looking increasingly likely to bat at 5 in India to make room for the 2nd spinner.

Bring in Boycott or Illingworth if you want to talk what about significantly faster over rates were like. Everyone else is dead.
The hilarious thing about this over rates carp is that 2 Tests ago they showed the scorecard from the Old Trafford Test where Bob Simpson scored a triple and England bored themselves to 240/2 off 120 overs on day one.

Frankly, faster over-rates can go **** themselves if that's the sort of cricket that gets served up.

Given the improvements in physical fitness, perhaps session times could be extended if it's that much of an issue.

People so keen to weaken a strength.

Can understand why they would want to do in India (although I still don't think it is a great idea) but should never happen at home. Bairstow to 6 and then Stokes to 7 would be fair enough though.
