You'd think that after the previous 142 matches someone in the England setup might have got a handle on Broad's reviewing habits.

How did Azhar ever manage to make runs outside UAE a few years ago? Looks like a fish up a tree out there ATM. Technique all over the place.

Because if you watched him play, he actually had a pretty sound technique back then and great hand eye coordination. These things leave with time.

The only thing worse than this Pakistan outfit is the England weather. Though at least the rain has made a few starts, as opposed to the batsmen.

Pakistan need to replace Azhar Ali and Shafiq with some young batsmen who have a decent chance of improving enough to make an impact overseas. Give them a bit of rope, and don't go back to these guys against some soft opponents like Bangladesh or WI at home and let them make some runs and hang around longer.

Otherwise, I feel they have the core of a decent side. Naseem Shah and Afridi should continue to improve with experience, and Abbas has some limitations but is a good foil to those two and has proven to be very good at home.

Yeah both the West Indies and Pakistan are similar, bowling far stronger than the batting and both need to find a couple of bats to make them much more competitive. The bowling will always keep them in games but when that fails they get smashed as they can't score anywhere near enough runs regularly.

Do you think so? I never see it in them. This same mob were very similar out here last time. Downhill skiers with the ball but the first whiff of grapeshot in the field and they turn up their toes. Have the resilience of a two year old told they can't have an ice cream. It's pathetic and it has ever been thus. Probably second only to SL in the "Oh ****, are they really touring here this summer?" stakes. Worse even than the Windies.

Yeah, they've always been rubbish down in Australia. Not sure what they can do to fix that TBH.

It's not that they lose, I expect that of anyone touring here. But the worst insult you can give any sportsman, no matter what level they play, is they aren't having a dig. And there are blokes in that outfit who, the moment things go against them, don't have a dig and give up.

It's pathetic, it's a pitiful culture to have in a side and they either need wholesale sackings to get rid of it or to have it beaten out of them with extreme prejudice by their coach and manager. I shouldn't have to sit up and endure this **** as a spectator and cricket lover. No one should. Imagine what their supporters must think. They know they give up at the drop of a hat.

Good grab from Jos there.

Think that turned off the posh stuff rather than a foothole too. Does give it a fair rip, young Dom.

Feel a bit exhausting after watching Fawad; not a batsman that makes it look effortless. His struggle is almost palpable.

Azhar Ali at the other end as well.. it's a mystery how he has managed to survive nearly 100 balls.
