*Official* Pakistan in England 2010

Should be an enthralling day's cricket tomorrow ... personally I'm not too unhappy that we're in this position, even though Pakistan have had the better of the day for the second day running. After all we'll be facing something similar in Australia and it's a good opportunity to see who's got the character to get England out of trouble. It's looking for all the world like a four day match so unless the weather takes a turn for the worse the draw must be long odds at the moment.

Trott no....may be Colly...if Pak bowls 80% to there ability, i think they have a very good chance...provided they hold there chances...as has been the case so far in this test....

And by the way Pak fans always have wishful thinking....
Well good for you mate.
Out of all the England top order batsmen I think Trott has looked consistently good, but we'll wait and see.If England bat to 80% of their ability they should get 350.:p

Poor batting really..Yousuf and Ali needed to carry one...A lead of at least 150 plus would have been safe. Someone please throw out that 19 year old kid... He is a waste of a batting position.
England are not going to make the same mistakes twice..

They've been making them all series, but have ben lucky enough to get away with it in the first two tests.

Not a great day for Strauss, and certainly not a good last session, but he can reflect on the injustice that the opening batsmen never get a night-watchman ... of course, as captain he could have arranged one for himself, but it would have looked pretty gutless leaving the out-of-form Cook to face the music. And two tailenders going out there would have been nonsensical.

Cook's travails have rather obscured the fact that the skipper isn't in the best of nick just now either. Excluding Bangladesh, he's averaged 26.00 since The Ashes with no tons. Mildly concerning.

Strauss always poor against left armers.. Not a good omen. He had so much to practice too, against morkel, aussies in ODIs and now amir. But he keeps on making same mistake. He has one more test to rectify it, i don't think he can. But at lord's he can get some runs..

Counting on KP to conjure one of those oval specials, tomorrow. [4 games : 3 100's & a 90]

Well after moaning about ticket prices yesterday I have been lucky enough to have gotten two free tickets for tomorows, so Sledger and I will be off to the Oval tomorow.

Looking forward to it, promises to be a very interesting days play.

Thing about Finn is that, given his 6'8" height, he doesn't get as much bounce as you'd expect. He's as tall as Joel Garner. I think Harmison gets more bounce than Finn, and he's 4 inches shorter. From where I'm sitting though I think that Harmison has much higher shoulders and longer arms and my guess would be that his point of delivery is higher than Finn's.
He's actually got a somewhat skiddy action, from the little that I've seen, and with his head collapsing to the side a tad, he doesn't really make the full use of his height.

I have no doubt about the ability of Pakistani bowlers.. what i am worried about is their catching and fielding.. guys like Imran Farhat, M. Yousuf, S. Butt and even kamran akmal could help England win this thing by dropping catches..

Indeed. Chris Tremlett who is of similar height to Finn i think, makes full use of his height with his high-arm action.

Wishful thinking...Pak knows they can win this game and the bowlers won't let this one slip away....lets see how Riaz turns out tomorrow...Butt should have been a bit more proactive and could have thrown him the ball for the final over.....
It is usually at that point Pak lose.

And traditionally they can't chase, so anything over 200 and I would lump on England.

Bring in Younis to this line up....in place of Farhat..Hameed and Butt open...and you have a serious contest...

At least the new opener Hameed looks good catching.Always helpful to have someone holding on to them and taking some screamers.
