*Official* Pakistan in Australia

I highly doubt Umar Akmal is scared of full balls on the stumps. He may be poor at playing such deliveries, but not scared.

He got a short one and immediately backed away from the next one. It wouldn't have mattered where it was pitching imo.

I watched him bat that way for a whole spell when O'Brien was bowling around 145kph and the ball was seaming. O'Brien was mixing up back of a length with good length and Umar started backing away.

When a batsman starts retreating to leg against fast, moving deliveries I dunno what else you can call it tbh. He didn't want to get in behind it.

Can someone tell me if the Australia vs. Pakistan series in England will be shown in Australia?

From the anti-siphoning:
Cricket
• Each “test” match involving the senior Australian representative team played in either Australia or the UK.
• Each one day cricket match involving the senior Australian representative team played in Australia or the UK.

Love the return of Harris. One of this countries best at this format of the game, looked in top knick during the Big Bash too.

I do think Australia has clearly out performed Pakistan in the first two odis but hope is not all lost for Pakistan. Bowling first in Sydney was utterly stupid, there is absolutely nothing in the pitch for the seamers during the day, under lights all of a sudden the ball comes at you twice as fast, at twice the height with twice the amount of swing. The only advantage of bowling during the day is that spinners tend to get more grip and are much harder to get away as was demonstrated by improved performances from Afridi and Ajmal in day conditions.

I feel its ideal for either team to win the toss and bat first since the ball does quite a bit under lights for the pacemen and theres hardly a threat of dew later on. Pakistan were a wicket or 2 short of a really commanding position in the first odi. I would say their spinners would be at a disadvantage bowling second but at least Pakistans batting wouldnt be in for a nightmare batting under lights. Anyways, I hope Pakistan put up a good fight in the remaining Odis, they are a really capable odi side on paper.

Not convinced with Harris. Seen him bowl some top spells over the last few seasons, but some gash aswell.

An opportunity to bring Nannes in goes begging.
Nannes needs more time to regain some fitness. Looked nothing like the bowler of old until the last couple of Big Bash matches.

Selectors could have gone towards any combination of Nannes, Harris and Geeves. Harris fails, well Nannes may get a shot against the West Indies. Could be a blessing for Nannes, gives him a chance to play some longer format games for Victoria, run into some more form and fitness.

Good catch, highly doubt it though.

Needless to say, with a weak and confused leader, Pakistan can't even make an openning to win the game let alone winning one.....

And certainly Ijaz Butt's statement about changing the captain didn't help in the middle of the tour....Yousuf probably doesn't even care about the captaincy anymore....
