y do u think he is still there in the job ???
just a puppet ..Neil Pickup said:Well, the referee is Ranjan Madugalle. He's Sri Lankan, and unless I'm heavily mistaken that's in the subcontinent.
shoaib should'nt have looked at the white man like this ..Bouncer said:PERTH, AUSTRALIA - DECEMBER 17: Matthew Hayden of Australia exchnages words with Shoaib Akhtar of Pakistan after an unsuccessful appeal during day two of the First Test between Australia and Pakistan played at the WACA on December 17, 2004 in Perth, Australia Thas what Akhter got on second day....I dont know what words were exchanged.

what are you talking about?marc71178 said:Ear pieces connected to Stump mikes anyone?
salman butt didnt do too badly either.Mr Casson said:Razzaq was one of the only batsmen to put on a decent performance in the warm-up games.
hopefully that will silence the bunch of fools who wanted him to be replaced with b.lee....Eclipse said:Kaspa on fire 3/9 off 8 overs !!
i doubt it, they are both just as hard to play IMO, and it usually takes a error of judgement to get out either way.Mr Casson said:I think they're a little bit different. From what I've seen, Lara tends to get bowled by much fuller, swinging deliveries, which are harder to hit once you've shuffled across than a shortish delivery aimed straight at the stumps.
if they do i will eat my computer chairage_master said:Pakistan really need to roll australia for under 200 for evena remote chance, not that their batting looks like it will stand up next time either.
I'm not sure it's the players that are too sensitive though, in regards to the fine it'd be more likely to be the administration, or did Hayden say something about it?Mister Wright said:Agree. It is a joke, these players are just too sensitive these days.
If you look at what's been happening recently it really shouldn't come as a surprise........the wicket is always going to be worse to bat on in the 4th Innings than the 3rd so it kind of makes sense. You're giving your bowlers a rest and it's not going to make any difference to the end result.Pratyush said:Okay why didnt Australa enforce the follow on? Only one reason - batsmen want to get more test runs to their names. Thats selfis IMO when winning the game early should have been the approach to be followed.
Giving the bowlers a rest? They had only been bowling for less than one day. But yes, the outcome will probably be the same. In his mind as long as they win they have no problemsSon Of Coco said:If you look at what's been happening recently it really shouldn't come as a surprise........the wicket is always going to be worse to bat on in the 4th Innings than the 3rd so it kind of makes sense. What amazes me is that we're supoosed to feel sorry for one group of players when they get fined for supposed offences yet another group get called 'unsportsmanlike' etc if they do the same thing. I don't think there was anything wrong with what Akhtar did the other day, but the current climate of the game suggests that you can't do that sort of thing anymore. I think it's sad, because it takes some of the personality away from the game, but that's the way it is at the moment so........biased indian said:Akthar is docked 40 % of his match fees for his action yesterday does any one here
find that amazing another one from sub continent get fined.players from sub continent are really behaving very poorly these days aren't they
They had been yes, but I'd prefer bowlers coming out 100% fresh than starting the next innings having bowled x number of overs already. It's going to be harder for the bowlers to back up than the batsmen (at least physically anyway). If you can bat for another day or so then Warney will be even more useful than in the 1st innings. It's really a case of either/or I guess.GoT_SpIn said:Giving the bowlers a rest? They had only been bowling for less than one day. But yes, the outcome will probably be the same. Either way its likely australia will win, but wouldnt u want to roll pakistan out for say 250- because the bowlers are wee tried. Then chase a small total>?Son Of Coco said:They had been yes, but I'd prefer bowlers coming out 100% fresh than starting the next innings having bowled x number of overs already. Yeah. Soon enough Ponting will be fined for blowing a kiss like last year at Adelaide. The opposition will perceive it as the kiss of death, and believe it to be quite insulting.Mister Wright said:Agree. It is a joke, these players are just too sensitive these days.
Well, I'm a bowler so I'd be happy to sit back and relax for a while. haha It always looks nice to roll them by an innings plus, but I guess Ponting has his reasons. If you're in a position to decide whether to enforce the follow on or not then I can't see how it ultimately matters (unless you get a freak occurence like the India debacle in 01!)GoT_SpIn said:Either way its likely australia will win, but wouldnt u want to roll pakistan out for say 250- because the bowlers are wee tried.
