what rubbish?

i've seen players fined for much less than what he did yesterday. it was completely over the top.
And you'd be saying that if he was an Australian? Williams got a way with more crap than what Akhtar did.

This whole demand for cricketers to become robots is reaching new heights.

I'm loving this pitch, looks to be giving something to everyone. I loved that in Langers innings, after that intitial slight chance, he managed to trundle on through until stumps yesterday, without causing a fuss. What a great innnings.

Best moments of the day was McGrath's hook, and when Warne and Billy swapped roles. Classic.

PAKMAN

State 12th Man
i think shoaib malik should be considered in place of khalil,or they can even try him as an opener

Agreed, it was 'over the top', but it wasn't that bad.

I think actions like that should have the player called before the ref, told not to make a habit of it, and as long as they only do it occasionally ( say, once or twice a series? ), then let them go.

I think it's a given that if an Australian did it, there would be several threads about how evil the player/team is...

Just heard that he's been fined...what a joke.

That was so funny.

Billy gave Warnie his hat when Shoaib was doing something, Billy appeals on his knees and Warne does Billy's no ball thing.

Warne pinched Billys hat and started copying his antics, the four, the six and so on. So Billy then jumped on the pitch and appealed to Warne...

EDIT: Too late, Repitition!!

Okay why didnt Australa enforce the follow on? Only one reason - batsmen want to get more test runs to their names. Thats selfis IMO when winning the game early should have been the approach to be followed.

What's all this stuff going on regarding Akhtar? I was busy for a while, and then it seemed like he'd called for a runner, and after the umpire conferred with Ponting (who was shaking his head), it was refused.

I'm aware of past suspicions about Akhtar faking injury, but surely we (the Australian team) can stay out of this matter, and leave it to the Pakistan administrators. Even if Ponting thought it was slightly suss, I can't see why we need to contest something like that when Pakistan have next to no chance of following on and the game, for all intents and purposes, is just about as good as over.

Especially considering he left the field early at the end of the days play.

Oh Good God. Asked to explain his actions?

How about "I was telling Hayden where to go!"

I'm sick of this rubbish.

Agree. It is a joke, these players are just too sensitive these days.

Exactly. Who cares if he got a little excited and pointed somewhere? It's not as if he spat in his face or even swore at him. I say relax and get on with the cricket (if you can call this walkover cricket).

Well, the referee is Ranjan Madugalle. He's Sri Lankan, and unless I'm heavily mistaken that's in the subcontinent.

I think bowlers should be allowed to show some emotion at least. What Akhtar did was no big deal, it was just a heat of the moment thing. Pointing to the pavilion after getting a big wicket is alright in my book.
