edit: and it should be said, I think Shane Warne is rather underrated as a player of quick bowling. It is usually assumed that he is better at playing spin because he bowls it, but I have a lot more faith in him against Sami and Shoaib than I would against Harbhajan, Murali or Kumble.
Hmm i have to agree with you on that, though im looking for some stats to prove that

edit : ***never mind his out now ****

How about a good ball & a poor shot. Look at his front foot, didn't go any further than middle stump to a ball that was well outside offstump. Bad footwork can contribute to a poor shot.
No kidding. Not only was his feet planted, he scooped the bat, almost like catching practice for the slips.

And don't even get me started on Lehmann's shot, dear God.

Australia currently on: 282/7, Gillespie playing another of his great role of supporting the partner is on 11*

Gillespie has the right idea for a tailender. Especially when facing express quicks, the best you can do is keep the edges down. Gillespie's hands are so soft he could use them as Sorbent toilet tissue.

If this becomes another century partnership, I believe it will be the fourth Gillespie has been involved in this calender year, and all of them have been vitally important except for the one with McGrath. He made 100+ with Katich in Sydney against India to help save the game, and an even more important century stand with Martyn in the second test in India.

A few more and he might have a legitimate claim as a bowling all-rounder who can bat at 8 after Warne retires.

It's amazing how this run started when he took over the side!

Could it be affecting him?
well he say's it's not but I doubt that is entierly the case..

I have no worries about it he will come back to his best soon enough i'm sure of it.

Partnership broken at 80, 24 for Gillespie. Can Langer get the support to make another double hundred?

I think it's time for that Kasprowicz 50. ;)
