What a superb win for Pakistan. Played.

England... that wooden thing in your hands is called a bat. Learn to use it.

The other thing going against Eng is the attitude of the groundsmen as in the series vs SL, the guy in Abu Dhabi was very open about being receptive to instructions from Pakistan as "they are the home team."

If that is still the case, 2 roads and this series could be done and dusted already
Just saw that they're coming back here for the 3rd test.

Always wondered why Sharjah is out of people's minds when it comes to hosting more neutral tests. Unless I've missed some sort of controversy surrounding it.

Spikey to disagree.
yeah some openers smash their way to 50 in no time but when they get out instead expose the middle order to a bowler who has just taken a couple of wickets on the run, often leaving two new batsman at the crease with the score on about 100.....both situations are kinda sucky.....

IMO, Trott is due for an extended run of average form in tests

Guy has scored 11,000 run @ 44 in fc cricket which indicates that he has over-achieved massived in the relatively small number of tests that he has played to date
I'd say so as well, much the same way Hussey did. But Hussey's purple patch was a little more... purplerererer.

Had a pretty ****ing awesome season just before he got picked though, so the other option of course is that he's just improved.

I think it's a little from Column A and a little from Column B though. He's clearly improved from his "above average county cricketer" days and he's going to be a good Test cricketer but I really don't think he's actually a proper top-10-in-the-world batsman. That said he was England's best specialist batsman in this match by a long way.

So, all the batsmen who crossed 50-run average mark in the India series hae lost that in this one match!

Good stuff.

Well played Pakistan, putting together an increasingly impressive run, think we can still get out of this series with a draw given our decent bowling efforts but we all no what needs to improve.

Probably is either way.

Great stuff. Brilliant performance by all the players, especially Toffee, Hafeez, Misbah, Ajmal, Rahman, Gul and Adnan.

Shame we couldn't win by an innings but a win by 10 wickets is just as good.

Looking forward to the next test.

Congratulations to Pakistan, brilliant performance with the ball in both innings.

Going to be tough to turn this series around, the batsmen really need to pull their fingers out.

Damn Misbah for batting so defensively, this Test could have been over a couple of hours ago if he hadn't been such a slowcoach.

Congrats to the Pakistan fans. Been thoroughly outplayed.

To people chiming off about no.1 ranking and all that - it's a Test match. Sometimes, you lose. It happens.

Sharjah was "allegedly" the home of match fixing so lost its status for years

Hosted the final test with SL but, in all honesty, probably wouldnt make any difference as all the pitches here are drop-ins and sub-surface is made up of really fine sand with very soft clay beneath that i.e. no hard base = low & slow
