Just saw that they're coming back here for the 3rd test. The other thing going against Eng is the attitude of the groundsmen as in the series vs SL, the guy in Abu Dhabi was very open about being receptive to instructions from Pakistan as "they are the home team."
If that is still the case, 2 roads and this series could be done and dusted already
yeah some openers smash their way to 50 in no time but when they get out instead expose the middle order to a bowler who has just taken a couple of wickets on the run, often leaving two new batsman at the crease with the score on about 100.....both situations are kinda sucky.....Spikey to disagree.
I'd say so as well, much the same way Hussey did. But Hussey's purple patch was a little more... purplerererer.IMO, Trott is due for an extended run of average form in tests
Guy has scored 11,000 run @ 44 in fc cricket which indicates that he has over-achieved massived in the relatively small number of tests that he has played to date
Had a pretty ****ing awesome season just before he got picked though, so the other option of course is that he's just improved.IMO, Trott is due for an extended run of average form in tests

Probably is either way.The other thing going against Eng is the attitude of the groundsmen as in the series vs SL, the guy in Abu Dhabi was very open about being receptive to instructions from Pakistan as "they are the home team."

Barely kept a straight face when he was announcing the best bowler of the match, which I thought was quite funny.Really embarrassing having all these awards. Athers probably laughing inside.
Sharjah was "allegedly" the home of match fixing so lost its status for yearsJust saw that they're coming back here for the 3rd test.
Always wondered why Sharjah is out of people's minds when it comes to hosting more neutral tests. Unless I've missed some sort of controversy surrounding it.
