Exactly so why even tell an 18 year old you'll be bowling 100 mph soon , being in that 85-95 mph range and having a long career like Steyn or Starc is way more valuable.
I can only imagine Prasanna and him have spoken about it and it's something Kwena believes he can do. Just watching him, he has uber self confidence.

Agree though that isn't necessary to be that quick if it effects what he is doing well and can do well or even better in the future.

Whatever it takes!!!
He works for the Lions here domestically and he seems to be respected by a lot of people because of his time with SA but I don't think the average cricket would know who he is.
That is pretty much what he himself says though. He is quite a character and beyond the showmanship (which is probably just faked for social media) he does seem to have interesting insights and thoughts. Certainly better than the average data analyst most teams have working for them, I feel.

Maphaka has a pretty fluid action, don't think he will be injury prone like guys who really put pressure on their bodies when they bowl, like Brett Schultz.

Ngam also had a great action but his injury issues were because of weak bones, as a consequence of malnutrition when he was a kid.

Kenneth Viljoen

International Regular
To be fair to Phehlukwayo he did pick up 5 wickets @16 in the UAE , would have rather picked Jason Smith after that 91 he made in his last ODI match.

Walter seems to mention that Smith has an injury so can't bowl so wasn't selected for that reason and also mentioned there are a few other possible selections injured for the AR role. Assuming Wiaan Mulder , Eathan Bosch & Beyers Swanepoel?

Pity about Linde but I guess it's to do that Maharaj has been doing decently in 50-over cricket & they want a seamer AR.
