Just as a sidenote, does anyone remember that tackle Wiki put on Lam a few years back? Perfectly legal, hit him that hard I thought he'd killed him, and Lam just jumps up and off he goes.Blewy said:

It is shaping up as a very interesting tussle for the 7th and 8th spot for the NRL finals.
If, as I tipped, The Eels beat the Warriors, the Sharks lose to the Storm and the Cowboys beat the Tigers that will put the Cowboys into 7th spot and leave a four way race for the 8th spot, leaving Tigers, Sharks, Eels & Raiders on 24 points and the Knights on 22.
In round 26
The Tigers will face the Knights, the Eels face the Roosters, Raiders face Souths and Cowboys face Sharks.
Which, for me means it will be a race between the Tigers and Raiders for that final spot. And the only way the Raiders could get through ahead of the Tigers is if they beat souths by over 100, or the Tigers lose big to the Cowboys. The Sharks, to be a chance will have to flog the Cowoys or beat the Storm and Cowboys to make it.
Personally I can't see the Cowboys losing to both the Tigers and Sharks, so they should make their first finals series.
It will be an interesting 8 days, that is for sure.
One thing is guaranteed is that the Broncos have a home final!

if scorelines go the right way, raiders could perhaps get through by beating souths by 50 or 60, very unlikely given recent performances and the fact schifcofske cant kick enough goals to ensure that srt of scoreline. If Gafa was kicking id have more confidence....

no i dont beliebe he should have been suspended for longer because he wasnt sent off. If you read my post about clint newton u will see my reasons, IMO newcastle would have won that game if he played 80 minutes and they would have had the inside running at making the finals. It was more than 73 minutes with 12 men.....

So what? That doesn't take away from what he did. His attack deserved a penalty, whether he got sent off or not.

An elbow to the head is just as bad as a king hit IMO. If he had of kept his elbow out of it and just went in with the shoulder charge, everyone would have been claiming it was a big hit rather than a suspension.

well done cowboys for their great win against the tigers today! they are into the finals for the very first time. tigers looking very shakey now, if knights beat tigers and raiders beat souths next week, the green machiene should be in the 8!
