Good try Warriors - poor handling errors at key moments. When Innu (sp?) spilled the pill after his big break I knew it was all over.

I obviously don't watch much NRL, but why are the commentators not overly critical with these missed kicks following the try?

Seems like absolutely crucial misses in a Grand Final. Yet they're just saying "oh and he misses" and that's it.

Is this Gus' last game as a commentator? Or is he still doing it next year whilst director of coaching?

They were massive misses but the equivalent in afl would be a kick from 50 out from the sideline. Big play if they get it, but not extraordinary if they miss it. Maloney certainly was critical of himself.

The other thing is that 9s NRL commentary (Sterlo aside) is absolutely rubbish. Rabs is a relic, Gould seems more interested in riling up Rabs and rambles on about periphery rubbish.

He's still going to be commentating and writing for the herald.

G S get the Churchill. Great player but the forces of evil really have triumphed today.
