Melbourne really should of won by 20 IMO. Too much dropped ball.
DAWTA. We were rubbish, but Melbourne were barely any better. Score was about right imo.

**** game of footy though. Looking like the same ol Panthers atm.

Drop ball is the order of the day at the moment, was so pumped for three straight live games tonight but they have been three of the most horrific matches I've seen in a long time. There are so many sub-standard NRL players running around at the moment, can't see how anyone can justify a case for expansion.
Rumour is the next TV rights deal will top $1b, will if the NRL can scam that sort of money out of them...

Naa thats fair value, as a product the NRL is generally the best game for television. The players just need to sort themselves out cause the standard this season has been a disgrace.

I would be very interested to read who you consider the sub standard players are. Are any of them being picked in the starting 13 and not due to injuries? I think expansion could work if some of the Super League players came back, in saying that though, I think 16 is the right number.

I enjoyed the Titans vs. Raiders match despite the drop ball. Fensom and Dugan were awesome to watch.

Looking forward to heading to Lang Park today.

Joseph Paulo imo. And yes he's only in the team due to injuries :(

Lol @ the Warriors, they lose both Vatuvei & Mannering before half-time & then go on to absolutely kick Brisbane's ass at Suncorp

Only have to look at the Raiders for example, how Troy Thompson is continously selected is beyond me, then you have guys like Grant Rovelli, Michael Bani, Shane Elford, Joel Moon, Jarrad Hickey, Lopini Paea, pretty much anyone that plays for the Sharks etc... It's just more of a case that theres just no depth in the game, almost every club will call on players during the season that just arent up to scratch.

Interesting selection of players. Elford and Rovelli are the two that stand up and I agree they are not up to standard, but I think that's the coaches fault. Someone like Hickey is only starting because of the injury to Hodgson and Thompson while rubbish is only in the 17 cause Learoyd and Miller are injured.

I just came back from Lang Park and I'm pretty angry with the **** that occurred today. Hardly anyone has got any balls at the Broncos. I've loved Lockyer but he should get dropped/retire from rep footy, he is way below the skill that JT, Prince and Cronk show.

Elford is only in the side because Tighe is suspended (I hope) and we for some baffling reason thought he'd be of more use than Junior Tia Kilifi this year. I'd have Ben McFadgeon or Ryan Walker there instead of him. (though I've only heard second hand reports about Walker)

Tighe comes back next week, I would have thought Purtell would switch to the wing, and Tighe takes the left center position.

Yeah Tighe in the centres, Purtell on the wing would be better. What's with Jennings moving sides, he has no combination at all with Gordon, I get the feeling that Purtell would go well outside of Jennings in attack. Also what is the situation with Waterhouse. Why do they keep naming him and not playing him?

I have 6/7 this week, so annoying that it's the Broncos I got wrong.

I was actually behind the Jennings move initially. Gordon was the second fastest player in the team though he's not showing that kind of form recently. Thought they'd go well together but it's not working out that way. Jennings needs room too, and our most damaging forward (Pritchard) is playing on the other side so he's not getting much.

Have a feeling it was initially done to give Jennings a better shot at the Australian team, which is the kind of selfishness I'm not a fan of.

House had a quad strain which isn't healing properly. He was 50/50 for the Raiders game, but for some reason he's having trouble shaking it. We really need him back.

Tighe wasn't suspended for the first game of the season though, and Elford was picked over him. Tighe's a perfectly capable winger as well.

Two winless teams, early season handling and it's raining..

Got the makings of a classic this one,,

Sorry Pinchy, as I know you're a Sharks man, but it's lucky they've got Parra next week else this losing streak may never end.

They're horrible - look a NSW Cup side right here.

It's getting really hard to watch and if we keep playing like this it wouldn't surprise me if we go winless this season.
