Have always rated Tim Grant, like most props though he has taken time to develop but he has really progressed playing with Civoniceva. The only concern for mine is his work rate is a little low, you'd like him to be taking closer to 14-16 hit ups per match rather than 8-10.Looking back on it, $10 for us at half time was a good value bet. We had next to no ball, Knights have been chased down a couple of times this year, as have many other teams.
So stoked we came back from that. Loving our pack even in it's current weakened state. Most underrated in the comp for mine. McKendry and to a slightly lesser extent Grant are really looking like the real deal this year. The less said about our left edge the better though.
Gus said on Friday arvo that Brett Finch is the oldest player in the team at 28. Both Slater and Smith both turn 26 this year, even though they have been around foreverI think we're in the middle of witnessing one of Australia's great sporting dynasties. The Melbourne Storm - with Bellamy, Slater, Smith, Cronk, Hoffman and Inglis all locked away in long term deals - could well appear in seven or eight Grand Finals in a row. I've got no doubt they've made a pact to stay together and create an absolute juggernaut; the likes of which Australian sport has not witnessed since St George in the 1960s.
