How's Gareth Ellis gone for Wests this season anyway? Hasn't hit too many headlines, but seems to be a regular.
Ellis is getting better and better every game... I honestly think next season we will see the best of him... His defence has never been in question, and the last few weeks his attack has improved out of sight... He is hitting the line out wide with pace and is very difficult to stop..

I agree with P EWS to an extent that his attack has been subdued due to having to play in tight more, but as i said the last few weeks he has been playing much wider (where he's suited) and you can really see he is not far off making a name for himself.

On the topic of Ben Teo, all i can say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA to all you broncos fans who thought you got something special... I told you all the guy had no heart and he has shown it this season.. Played 1 good game early in the year and the broncs offered him an extension and he has now shown his true colours.. Personally ive never been more glad to see the back of a player at the Tigers then i was to see him go... Theres nothing worse then to see a player give up.. (Have a look at his attitude after the Broncs got towled by canberra last weekend, He was LAUGHING)

According to Phil Gould last tnight Melbourne are not up there with the likes of St George, the Bulldogs, and Manly. Fair enough about the St George and Bulldogs bit, but funny how Manly can be at a better level then Melbourne, and yet the Storm are still higher on the table and have a good chance of finishing 3rd or 4th and yet there are no certainties about Manly.

I'm with Burgey on this, I hate Manly.

Still to be impressed by either Melbourne and Manly. I personally reckon it's a two horse race.

Melbourne have done well for all the personal they lost last season, just how Canberra did well when they lost the total of 1,000 NRL games worth of experience a couple of years ago. But yeah I agree, Melbourne is just too inconsistent to be within a chance of winning. Still at least they haven't gone the way of the Roosters.

Yeah, I still rate them as a good team, they've good several great players, but they just haven't dominated as much as the last couple of years.

Who were the commentators in the Raiders/Bulldogs match tonight? Absolutely woeful. I thought Ben Ikin had come back from his self-imposed exile as 'punishment' for Channel 9 investigating his dad for a minute. Turned it down as I couldn't bear it any longer, and probably missed most of what was a decent match it seems.

He's done a great job of protecting the worst front-line defender in the NRL; he's basically been Marshall's answer to Lockyer's Tonie Carroll. His attacking game's been wasted a bit by having to play in tight a lot of the time as the Tigers have no real genuine metre-eaters but he's been going okay in that role anyway.

Looks a class act without really standing out, if that's possible.
He's gone a step further today and genuinely stood out above the rest. All class he is.

I know this has been said, but honestly how bad are the Warriors? The only reason they have/will avoid the spoon is having a little bit of quality that Roosters and Sharks haven't had. But as far as structure, effort and willingness to have a dig they have been 16th this season.
