 The thing that annoys me is we have an excellent week here and there but then we play sh*t the next week....We're far too inconsistent.
The filter is there for a reason, don't avoid it please.

Very enjoyable match for me, though overall not a great game of rugby league. Steve Clark had a horrible game, too many unwarranted penalties for holding down in the play the ball. Roosters defence is fairly good, but they can't do anything in attack besides truck it up the middle.

Dragons kicking game was awesome, especially Head's short-kicking game. It won us the match. Our defence was also outstanding in the seond half. However, our defence is still pretty average. No idea why we are playing a flat style when our team is suited to a deep backline running onto it.

But overall, awesome day out.

That surprises me, Stephen Clarke is the best referee by a mile in the NRL. He had a great game when Cowboys played the Tigers, but I guess even the best have a bad game now and then.

The fact that he is the best, just shows how bad the rest are...

While the majority of NRL referees are terrible, Clarke is well and truely a class above the rest.

I'd love to see a ref penalise halfbacks every time they feed the scrum to the 2nd row or lock.

Personally I think Archer is the best. Clarke may be the best in terms of adjudicating to the letter of the law, but he knows how to ruin a good game of football as a result with pedantic penalties.

I would love a ref to go out there one day (or night) and referee the game according the rule book. I reckon we'd see about 100 penalties a half and I doubt we'd ever get a scrum fed.

And what would be so good about that?

I reckon if Matt Head stays fit, the Dragons will give the Cowboys a red-hot run for the premiership. Nathan Brown just has to make sure they are mentally ready each week. That's their major worry.

wont happen, Broncos look far too good atm, we should be premiership favouriters :p

I don't know if anyone should be premiership favourites. I guess the only team I really fancied was the Cowboys, but after their loss to the Sharks I don't know what to think.

Manly got to be favorites after their amazing win on the goat track. :p

Nah its pretty open, but i think if the Broncos can solve their halfback problem then they might be hard to stop. Newcastle are going to be hard if Johns stays on the field. Cowboys well the same applys for Thurston, but IMO they need to bring back Firman and Hannay to take the pressure off him a little bit. Those three with Dragons look the best sides ATM.

Firman is back this week, Smith to the 2nd row and Steve Southern back to the qld cup

im surprised Scott Hill cant get a spot in the Storm line up this week, hes gonna be turning out for North Sydney on Saturday i believe

Yeah just saw that on the Cowboys page, a bit surprised they couldn't find a spot for Southern on the bench atleast. They really have some depth there now.

I think they are easying Hill back in, its probably better he is still there in Round 20 on belong then now.

the reason he wasnt picked is because they cant find a spot in the team for him, which is pretty surprising, but i guess i can see bellamy's relucatance to make changes from a side that won by 46 points

Don't worry, he'll be rushed back in when we lose by the same margin this week, knowing the Storm.
