Having a look into some of the ratings, maybe more of the part time keepers should be rated in the 70s standing back and 50-60 up like Younis Khan, Rahul Dravid, Upul Tharanga and Lou Vincent. And the non-keepers should be rated at about 50, cus i had Chris Gayle keeping in one game and he let through 149 byes, with a rating of 20.

EDIT: Meant to say this for a while, but length is still far too consistent. I've got a bowler with a length rating of 50 getting 99% of his balls on a good length. It needs to be changed so that lower ratings have far more effect.

EDIT: And I've just had a team blitz a target of 250 in 30 overs...

One thing I found is that short balls wide outside off seem to go over the batsman down legside for wides.

Yeah, I found that out as well, and as well as that. IMHO, it looked quite a lot of batsman were chopping the ball onto the wickets. Much more that it would be IRL. And usually they get out like that or caught.

Commentary needs a bit of updating as well

I tell ya what Neil, this game is fantastic after I spent a good hour-and-a-bit writing in two new teams (made up of Colts members). Its amazing real! The games are close, runs are scored and wickets are taken realisticly... the game has great potential.

It's true, one has to step back and realise that this is freeware. It's a magnificent game, Neil, and you have already built an awesome base from which to take it even further (ie; a managment game).

Just two things, sometimes when the batsman are scroing big, they dont score in singles. Its kinda weird, when you have MS Dhoni 100 of 60 balls with 18 4s and 4 6s. And, as well as that, the extras get a bit exorbitant, i simmed bwteen aus and eng at edgbaston. England all out for 153, and Australia got there with 5 wickets to spare, but half of their runs were from extras.

Extras I've cut down again today (utterly ludicrous result of Gareth Batty (0*) and Matthew Hoggard (0*) adding 112 for the last England A wicket against India in 22 overs).

I've also performed a few more tweaks to the engine to cut down the effect of the new ball, and then inject a bit more life back into the total. Not completely happy with singles, either, but will have to look a bit more.

Since my internet has been gone, I have had loads of time to do extensive testing, I created a ground, with low bounce, low movement, exorbitant amount of turn though. Australia piled on 492/7 in 50 overs, England then lost by around a 100 runs, I think it was. I can post the scorecard and commentary if you'd like to see it?.

Bounce isn't designed to really go much lower than 80. If you take the attributes out of realistic ranges, then you'll get silly results more often than not.

Bit biased towards England, I must say,

I really like the way the sim looks.

Only played 1 game, both sides controlled by computer so not a full assessment by any standard but I found the result on the dramatic side.

Interesting result

Chasing 330 in 50 overs England won by 8 wickets (even with Blackwell opening the batting) with 10.1 overs left.
Bell got 144no off 112 balls, KP 97 off 56 and Vaughan 45no off 33.

Despite this result (Im sure a 1 off) I can see myself playing around with this for a number of hours in the future.
