But the first cricket WC was held in 1975. How can any team win it before it?

Can India produce a Murali? I doubt so.We produced a Murali in the 10th year of getting test status

P.S-Stop dissing Sri Lanka, it underwent a minor setback, with the retirements of Sanga,Mahela,Dilshan consecutively. SL were in 2 WC finals and 3T20I finals in 7 year period.Which is a massive achievement. Even India had a rough patch in 07, losing out in the group stages itself. But as always we treated them with respect.

Sri Lanka are actually on the upswing of late. Had a dreadful ODI record in 2017. Can only improve from there.

I know exactly when India started to paying Tests but it’s bloody hard for them to win a tournament before it starts buddy.
