Glad I stayed up to see this masterclass from Macewell.

Also enjoying Waqar Younis's droll commentary which seems slightly at odds with the terrifying pace bowler I remember in the 90's.

Phillips definitely seemed a bit rusty. Even struggled to get hold of full tosses from the spinners.

Edit: what a ball to receive on debut (vaguely remember Damien Martyn also got yorked first ball on debut by Ambrose).

He's probably not his stated age but he still looks of a growing age. Pretty insane talent though I'm not a fan of throwing foetuses into international cricket. Wonder if Akram coming good as a teen did more harm long term.

Going to need Ferguson to be on song but really not too sure if he's match fit for this. Also the spinners need to bowl outta their skin or it's all over
by the shouting. Can see Pakistan cruising to a 5 wicket win though.

yeah there's no doubt he's very young. if i'd not seen him 2 years ago sending thunderbolts down i'd have no problems believing he's 19.

Everyone got starts barring the 2 golden ducks. Perhaps the pitch is a bit on the slow side and not as easy for batting as first thought.
