True if he plays it should be at 8 following Maces.they messed up putting Shipley at #11 though!

If we play a 6-7-8-9 of Phillips, M Bracewell, Santner, Shipley there is no excuse for the top order to score too slowly. That is serious batting depth and power.Agree, and depressing as it is that we are minus Henry, Milne, Jamieson & Boult, I actually quite like the cricinfo probable XI with Shipley debuting (and Please please no Tickner!)
New Zealand: (probable): 1 Finn Allen, 2 Devon Conway, 3 Kane Williamson (capt), 4 Daryl Mitchell, 5 Tom Latham (wk), 6 Glenn Phillips, 7 Michael Bracewell, 8 Ish Sodhi 9 Tim Southee, 10 Lockie Ferguson 11 Henry Shipley
By this I only meant that we are mentally on the next WTC cycle btw - looks like this WTC has one more series for us (Sri Lanka in March), while the England tour isn't counted. Next WTC starts July.On to the next WTC cycle!
tbh I think that bowling lineup is pretty unrealistic. More likely: Macewell / Santner / Southee / Ferguson / Tickner or Sodhi. Looks like Macewell is ahead of Sodhi in the ODI pecking order, so Tickner will definitely play rather than Shipley. It also seems unlikely for them to go in with Southee, an off-pace Ferguson, and Mitchell-like-he'll-ever-bowl as the only pace options tbh.New Zealand: (probable): 1 Finn Allen, 2 Devon Conway, 3 Kane Williamson (capt), 4 Daryl Mitchell, 5 Tom Latham (wk), 6 Glenn Phillips, 7 Michael Bracewell, 8 Ish Sodhi 9 Tim Southee, 10 Lockie Ferguson 11 Henry Shipley
Doug Bracewell has been named as Matt Henry replacement for the ODIs in Pakistan and India, but he won't be available for Monday's game. New Zealand head coach Gary Stead confirmed that Bracewell would arrive in Karachi on Wednesday.tbh I think that bowling lineup is pretty unrealistic. Also, Tickner was picked in a squad which had Milne and Henry also ahead of him. He'll play in this situation, unless they take the initiative with Shipley. Which seems unlikely...
Stats says Pakistan beat New zealand in last 2 ODI.Nz top order have more confidence as venue is more Familiar for them.If we play a 6-7-8-9 of Phillips, M Bracewell, Santner, Shipley there is no excuse for the top order to score too slowly. That is serious batting depth and power.
Why does that mean Tickner plays ahead of Shipley? Shipley was in the squad to begin with while Tickner was a replacement for Milnetbh I think that bowling lineup is pretty unrealistic. Add Jamieson for Lockie/Southee and that will be a seriously strong 6-10.If we play a 6-7-8-9 of Phillips, M Bracewell, Santner, Shipley there is no excuse for the top order to score too slowly. That is serious batting depth and power.

Where you located?Shipperly!
A shame we're batting first so I'll be asleep by the time he bowls.
He's tall and swings it at decent pace (130 odd I think), and is a far better bat than his career stats suggest. Also been by far the best bowler in the super smash across the past 2 seasons and is having a fantastic One Day comp with the ball.not into the hype for shipley....can someone tell me what he's about? saw a bowling clip on yt and seems 120km-ish lol, i guess he bats with no fks given like cdg? is that the excitement factor?
