that game was so amazing. . glad i taped it! tuffey's impersonation of vettori was classic. . . the 1st game was an absolute disaster - hopefully they get the pitch sorted before the aussies arrive in feb.

Styris' ODI bowling statistics in 2004:

25m, 23w @ 24.22, bb3-16, eco 4.30

I would say those are pretty impressive figures. His accuracy in his bowling has improved, and I would feel pretty safe having Styris bowl 10 overs.
In that time he bowled a full spell on only 3 occasions though.

It's also worth noting that in his 3 games against Bangladesh he had 6 @ 10 apiece - kind of boosts the numbers!

*sigh* Nick Knight too. This World XI is a disgrace to the cricketing world.
And of course it is a really representative World XI isn't it?

About half the team can't make their own side for one reason or another.

Sorry, I overestimated it's strength - it's about 3 of the 11.

Does anyone know when the highlights coverage of the 10/10 game will be on? They weren't on just now with the highlights of the 3rd game. :(

They did show the Richardson charity race for game 2. I thought they would have shown it, although they would basically have to show the whole game because of all the entertainment and fun that occurred. Do we have a replacement for Vettori now with Tuffey's left arm spinners, Vettori styles and everything. Hehe

Really good game today, even though the score-line was poor.
I just got back from the game and it was cool to see the ground full, it was the first time i've been to Westpac Park too.

Wilson was very impressive & the Ten10 match was a good way to finish off the series.

I agree, it was a good end to the 'series'. Shane Warne showed his abilities as a captain, while other member of the FICA world XI, proved that they are still able to play for their respective nations.

how many catches did ya get tim ?
disappointing game today but i was ****ing myself through the 10/10 game it was such a crack up from start to finish.
about the pitch - jeremy coney & ian smith were saying some crap about it was seaming too much which was complete rubbish IMO - it seamed no more than a typical NZ ODI wicket, the problem was the uneven bounce(often referred to as tennis ball bounce) which i think was caused by the thickness of the grass on the pitch, wilson and cairns obviously bowled well and i also think ian harvey bowled beautifully(first time i've actually seen him bowl half decent!) - he was moving the ball both ways and the batsman didn't have much of an idea

D'oh! I had to go into work before we won, and totally missed out on the 10/10 game

Why the hell are they replaying the WI vs Oz tomorrow on SS3 instead of the Black Caps game? Stupid SKY! :@

Wilson's return to international cricket (although not ODI status) left him with (for the series)...

7-1-27-1 / DNB
8-0-27-1 / 11 (9)
4-1-6-3 / DNB

So that's 19-2-60-5 / 11 (9), averaging 12 with the ball and 11 with bat. Comparing to those of obvious international standard (Cairns) - Averaging 10.13 with ball and 9 with bat. Not a career comparison by any means but it shows that he can at least keep up for these few games, so I won't knock him for his efforts at all.

I know it's not the greatest few games to really take heart out of, but since it's all we can judge his performances by, I'm personally fairly happy with his results. Not sure if I'd play him against Aussie just yet, but then again we don't exactly have a full squad so you never know.

He did the job with the bat in his only innings, and showed his batting can be very destructive with that huge 6. I was dissappointed in him not getting a bat in the Ten/10 game.

I read somewhere that Wilson also played for the All Blacks is this true. If it is he must be one hell of a Sportsman
