Australia through to drinks without loss - 0/59. Quite a subdued start, especially by Hayden.
The conditions haven't allowed much else really. Australia has done really well to survive so far.

I thought it was closer to the elbow. Terrible decision.
I don't think it was that bad, it hit him just above the glove. Still, it wasn't out.

Heading into lunch now, at 1/91. It's been a fantastic session of test cricket. Great bowling, particularly from Martin, and Vettori who has been nearly unplayable, and some great, dedicated batting from Langer and Hayden in very difficult conditions. Unfortunate that Langer was robbed of a chance at a big score.

According to Cricinfo snicko showed that Langer was out.
Didn't think so myself, and neither did the commentators. Snicko was completely inconclusive, it showed that the ball hit something, and the still image had the ball roughly above his wrist when the noise came. There was no way at all to tell if the ball flicked the wristband on his glove while hitting him on the arm or just hit his arm. Either way, there was certainly no way to tell from live action that it might have flicked part of his glove while hitting his arm - it just looked like it hit his arm. Definately shouldn't have been given out.

Ponting out as well, another close decision but this one was probably gone. Strange to see someone given out lbw after advancing down the wicket to a spinner, but it would have hit the stumps.

Hayden closing in on 50 and looking more comfortable than I have seen him in a long while now. Seems like getting past the period of very difficult batting early on and surviving to lunch has helped his confidence. I'll probably jinx him now, but he looks set for a big score.

I don't know how Clarke wasn't given out lbw (to Franklin). That was as plumb as plumb can be. Pitched middle, hit middle and would've taken out middle.

A life for Clarke.

I couldn't believe it either.

Rudie is screwing up a LOT of lbw decisions lately, concerning the australians. He turned down a shitload of plumbs through the summer.

Clarke gone. Australia in a bit of trouble now.

Pitch is still doing a bit, too.
The pitch hasn't done anything all day. It's been the swing.

Are you even watching the game?

Are you kidding? You didn't see Martin getting deliveries early on to move a foot or more off the seam?

It's been doing plenty, it's just been swinging as well.
