Gotta love what souther, somerville n boult have done with bat too, pretty gutsy and patient for anyone let alone tail enders.

I think we are going to win.

Draw was $12 on tab just a while ago. Is more rain forecast?

The forecast pretty much had the whole game written off so wouldn't go off that

This has been an immense fightback from the New Zealand lower order/tail. Hard to see them losing from now though this Lankan team loves an ATG innings.

Boult with the most enjoyably Boult innings. I like how he wholesomely yelled out "oh no!" as he lofted it to third man.

I thought our long tail looked like a massive weakness as this test started, with Southee betting so high, but it's turned out to be a possible matchwinner.

Hoping that between getting himself into a better rhythm in his later spells in the first innings, and some confidence-boosting time in the middle batting, that Somerville bowls with much better control in the fourth innings. Don't want it all to be on Ajaz.

Pretty much best case morning for NZ, deserve to be favourites with that score.

SL still have a decent chance though - given how comfortable and effective some of the tail-enders from both sides have been, have to suspect underperforming top orders are a sizable part of the reason for the low scores this match.

I'd like to see Boult and Southee good with the new ball in the short window when there's swing and seam - didn't take an early wicket first innings.
