*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

Alright, logging in for the third time in many years, to say, amazing series and well done NZ Black Caps! It's been something of a surreal series to watch over the last three weeks, tbh. After SL winning the WC in 96 (I am SL born and a naturalised Kiwi), this might be for me the next greatest cricketing moment I have ever seen. A simply phenomenal achievement. Bring on England!

I still can't quite believe that.

If you went back to 2016 when we toured with an arguably better side and said "in the next 10 years nz will clean sweep India in India. There are two line ups to choose from. One has Boult, Williamson, Taylor, Watling and Wagner. The other has Matt Henry, Ajaz Patel, Will Young, Santner, Will O'Rourke and a kid most well known from a YouTube vid. Who pulls it off?" you'd understandably make the wrong choice

And yes I realize Santner and Henry toured in 2016

And a promising young keeper batsman from Auckland called Glenn Phillips will start bowling offspin and bowl the 2nd most overs for NZ in the series.

Absolutely gun captaincy from Latham not to panic and keep bowling the two most likely wicket takers.

He got his fields mostly pretty right too.

I don't know why people were being critical of Phillips. Thought he was bowling well throughout.

A feature of this series is that the bowlers haven't really been able to exert consistent pressure and the scoring shots have always been there. So holding your nerve has been particularly important.

Just so we're clear, by and large India's bowlers did their job. Nz scored 400 plus in one innings. The rest, they kept NZ to reasonable/manageable scores. The batting let India down big time (duh). And Kohli is completely cooked. Wow!!!
