$$$ - to be fair, on that basis it's fair enough. It really is typically completely useless and actually creates more confusion than anything else, it's only this very specific situation where it's useful.
BCCI have enough money.

If they don't trust the umpires judgement when his eyes can see the deflection that happens.

Then they can't moan they didn't fork out for a tool that could have helped it be even more conclusive.

Lol how was Latham convinced to review? Even Southee wouldn’t have gone for that one

The problem is that Hotspot struggles to pick up fine edges so it actually just confuses the situation most of the time. It's an expensive way to create more doubt the vast majority of the time.

I think they'd attack Henry hard.
We need to roll the dice, Henry bowling fast at the stumps, the old you miss I hit tactic. he could get a bowled or an lbw dismissal or get smashed.

That would be better than Phillips bowling unthreatening off spinners hoping the Indian batsmen hit an outfield catch.

I hope I get proven wrong but this has been one of the worst captaincy efforts in an innings I've seen in a while

I'd put that - and most of the terrible reviews - on Blundell first and foremost. It's his job to actually be reliable on these decisions and he has been consistently awful

If they are going to do that they should have him ready to go but only do it if Ashwin is on strike. I think Sundar would take him down

And as I type that Phillips bowled probably the most dangerous over he’s bowled since I started watching
