I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Yeah most likely. But if we can win without him and Vettori that's excellent...
Yeah. Doesn't seem too bright. Why not rest one of them against Zimbabwe in the previous match?andyc said:Bit stupid to rest Bond AND Vettori in the same match I reckon.
It's the same track that NZ made 238 on two days ago...Nnanden said:Eeeek! Flat-track?
Nehra himself wanted the new ball. He specifically stated in that interview that he wanted to open the bowling, so he's had his opportunity. I agree, he's better of bowling with the old ball but let's see what he can do.Arjun said:Can anyone explain why Nehra was asked to open the bowling? He's a much better bowler first-change and his performances of late, as well as stats filters, suggest that. He often struggles to strike a line and length when the ball is fresh and new, but can keep it going a lot longer when he bowls with an old ball. That should be an opportunity to try out RP Singh or JP Yadav as a new-ball bowler, which is how they've played all along in domestic matches.
The backbone of thebatting lineup sends a strong reminder to his critics and makes a case for himself to bat at three.Jono said:Century up for Kaif! Well timed knock!
Hmm. I like Kaif, but that's only his second century in 95 matches. He's not exactly setting the world on fire enough to be considered the backbone of a batting lineup that includes Rahul Dravid...Arjun said:The backbone of thebatting lineup sends a strong reminder to his critics and makes a case for himself to bat at three.
He's not a frontliner, but the help he provides to frontliners like Dravid, Tendulkar and an in-form Yuvraj, and now Sehwag, makes him very important. He combines well with his partner and the partnerships he builds can often win matches.FaaipDeOiad said:Hmm. I like Kaif, but that's only his second century in 95 matches.
