I know them some question marks about latham in odis, but i like his form here. Picking things off, and shots all round the wicket when its needed. the perfect sedate opener to a McCullum type.

What are NZ fans honest opinion on McClenaghan? Being an Englishman I haven't really watched him a lot (except when he was at Worcs and vs Eng this summer) but everytime I check the scores his economy is always wayyy up there. He did absolutely nothing for Worcs during the spell he was here and tbh looked bang average when I watched him against England in the summer at Edgbaston.

Gets wickets despite being pretty average in all areas. Honestly think he has fluked a lot of his career by getting lots of gifts due to better bowlers surrounding him.

Deserves to be in the team/squad but I suspect he will eventually be left out when we get better options putting their hands up.

Two things about Tom Latham

1. Hes concentrating, all the time, hes focused on the ball and trying to do his best. Look at his expression after he hits a four, hes not happy and thinking how to do it better.

2. If you've seen him at domestic level you know, aggressive and shots all around the wicket. Strong square, but not limited. All the greats always have shots in all directions, and Latham has that potential.

It's crazy how many dot balls Williamson plays but then a few overs later he's back on song at a strike rate of 80. I reckon he's figured out the way to thrive in ODIs and I wouldn't be surprised if he went on to average 50+.
