No way Elliot is runs in the bank. Watling for ronchi, Neesham into 8 or if his bowling isnt up to it hes fighting it out with Anderson. Strong competition is good.

That better not be Guptill's tour or it will basically become KW vs. the World in the batting dept.

I'd rate NZ's top batting line-up to mow this down, but will be some challenge for this inexperienced batting line-up. So much depends on KW & Guptill, and we don't yet know if the latter will be able to bat.

Yeah it's very hard for me to picture a Hesson side ever playing Watling as a No. 7, realistically.

A midding score perhaps, but I think the emphasis is on the NZ middle order. Its a bit of an unknown quantity at this level, they could ace it, or fail completely. I personally feel if Kane and the openers (assuming Guptil is good) fire, then its Munroes game.

Also, Elliot.

What are NZ fans honest opinion on McClenaghan? Being an Englishman I haven't really watched him a lot (except when he was at Worcs and vs Eng this summer) but everytime I check the scores his economy is always wayyy up there. He did absolutely nothing for Worcs during the spell he was here and tbh looked bang average when I watched him against England in the summer at Edgbaston.

A One day side? The watlling limited overs omission continues to puzzle me. Ronchi has the ptential to win a game one out of 10 times. Watling will contribute to many wins if the rest of the team stands up. Seems like watling is more in the advertised spirit of nz.

I don't speak for all, but I like McClangahan. Does A good job as an aggressive, if wayward, bowler. Can go awry if we choose to build an attack about precision with the other swing/line bowlers.
Hes defiantly a good second string option and will get exensive wickets wiht unexpected bounce and pace off the wicket.

Nah, definitely not modern New Zealand. We're more into objective Moneyball analytics with our cricket these days. The Vettoris, the thoughtful and canny cricketers, are well and truly out of fashion.
