So, how bout those Olympics...

Gutted for Guptill, again. Poor bastard. Brownlie awarded facepalm of the year.

Excited though to see what could be our four fasties for close to the next ten years play together.

So, pretty much a typical day of NZ test cricket. Look good for a bit, then, just when it's time to put yourself in a commanding position, lose a bunch of wickets. Following that, put in a slight lower order revival to get somewhere towards respectability.

Going to be a long day in the park tomorrow.

Probably unfair to criticise Kruger, there was one there. Gup having a lil stretch, me thinks.

They really did set BJ up for a fall, opening with him. Suppose it tinkers with the whole order moving Brendon up but all of a sudden a guy who's been scoring a lot of middle order runs goes up and is a deer in the headlights. Not unexpectedly.

Really? Wow...

It's well known that Kruger is selfish. What a pr*ck of a thing to do to someone who had worked that hard, and is perfectly capable of getting himself out haha.

So what do we read into Martin's dropping? Boult a better bet to get the lefties out, or end of the line? Interesting given Trent was injured and hasn't had a match run under his belt for quite some time, and Martin had.
I think the fact that he's been dropped for Southee is more telling than the fact that he was dropped for Boult tbh.

I admire the selectors for having the bulls to drop Martin.

Really, really hoping this young four-men pace attack does the goods tomorrow.

Hmmm,

Not too many people at Sabina Park to watch their local hero bat.... Why is that? Can't be the Olympics..., yet.....

Boult is such an exciting prospect really; he perfectly set up Fudadin with that ball leaving him and then bowled right into the pads plumb in front

I thought I heard two noises and my guess is that the umpire felt it might have been bat first. Good decision to refer that.

Southee bowling beautifully. Unlucky not to have more wickets.

This really is demonstrating why four seamers is the way to go for NZ.
