Can someone explain the thinking of KW behind getting Rachin Ravindra to bowl now after lunch?
When the need of the hour is to wrap up the innings asap by using your best bowlers what is KW doing?
No.

Jamieson would have to be injured. Or something. There is no other plausible explanation for a debutant part-time SLA bowling over a guy who has the lowest average in Test history in taking 50 wickets.

Ashwin is such an insanely valuable player for India when he's batting like his pre 2017 self. He's probably realised since the Australia tour that the top order sucks now and he needs to lift.

Easy for us to say NZ should be going for the jugular when it’s not a pitch where you run through a side (till now anyway). But still perplexed at some of Kane’s field settings and bowling changes.

Hate to break the news but India have got away here. 150 plus score will be difficult for NZ against Axar & co. Poor captaincy from KW. When you had them at 51/5, you bowled defensively instead of attacking with your best bowlers.

I'd eat humble pie if Rachin strikes, he's not bowling bad but I'd back the experience of jazz

Even if it isn't, I'll provide a few reasons why I don't like this at all. 1 - India are 150 ahead, and 50 more we're pretty dead and buried once their spin trio gets their hands on the ball 2 - Ravindra hasn't looked likely all Test really, he's bowled tidily but only as a holding option 3 - the ball is 30 odd overs old and getting older and softer, making Jamieson down the track less effective 4 - we're going ultra defensive in our fields, for what reason I've got no idea.

Jamieson is on the field, I just don't know what the **** is happening here.
I guess we're going spin one end and pace the other. Don't mind that but the more experienced Ajaz to bowl at one end. Give Southee a break please. He'll run through the order if we can pick one here. He needs some rest.

Massive indictment on Jazz that he isn't bowling here. Hate to say it because I love the guy, but he's got to be feeling rubbish that Rachin is bowling with a Test match in the balance.

The only slightly reassuring thing for NZ is the pitch doesn't seem to have deteriorated so much since days 2 & 3. I swear more balls were shooting through low on Day 2, so it may not break up as much as some of us thought a day or so back.

We've taken 15 wickets in this Test, 12 to seam. I think we all agree that our seamers are our most effective wicket taking options, why that can't happen at both ends is beyond me.

And Somerville even worse for being nothing more than an afterthought atm.

Break the news? M8 we’ve been hobbling to certain defeat since the toss
